A Few Notes On Public Speaking
This week, I’m in Scottsdale, Arizona for my company’s annual user conference. While the conference requires lots of effort to organize, the event is like a launch party for all the features and products we’ve been working on.
I have a presentation to five tomorrow, and although I’m feeling a bit nervous about it today, I wrote a few notes for myself to keep in mind:
Use stories. Make them quick, personal, and sprinkle in humor wherever possible.
Repeat your key message at every opportunity.
Public speaking is a gift. It’s a chance to teach, entertain, and be generous.
