Carbon Budget

One problem with climate change is that we can’t directly measure our individual impact on the environment.

And if we can’t measure it, we can’t manage it.

In the near future, we need a carbon budget.

Where everyone has a certain number of carbon credits they can spend each day.

Everything has a carbon footprint. From your transportation of choice, to the meal you ate at lunch, and the clothes you purchase.

That carbon footprint will be quantified as a carbon credit”.

And your carbon budget determines the number of carbon credits you can spend.

Perhaps, this is one way we can become more environmentally conscious.
