Consumerism and Me

Consumerism told me that I need to wear the nicest kicks, buy the latest gadgets, and to eat the tastiest foods to be happy.

There are ads everywhere convincing me to buy stuff I don’t need or targeting an insecurity of mine.

It’s all about spending money, the more I spend the happier I’ll be. Growing up, I fell for this myth. I always wanted more.

Now, I realize that I have all the material posessions I need. Nothing more. And consumerism can’t convince me otherwise.
