What do Solo Backpackers Have in Common?

Not everyone is willing to quit their jobs and travel the world. Many people talk about doing it, few actually do. Not everyone is willing to travel alone either. It’s uncomfortable and intimidating after all.

A trait that solo backpackers have in common is the baseline level of fortitude and spirit to take the leap and travel alone. I reflect on my personal life and think about those that did travel solo and it’s damn rare. There’s a camaraderie we share because there’s the mutual respect that we all decided to pull the trigger and thrust ourselves, alone, into this new adventure that we’re now experiencing together.
