2022 Year in Review
I recall late December 2021, I was writing my annual review and planning for the year ahead. I thought to myself that between now and next December, things will be very different. I was graduating school and with that came a few pivotal decisions: where will I work and where will I live? Iโve always wanted to travel solo before too and I knew this was the year to do it.
Fast forward to the end of 2022 and what a ride itโs been. Likely my best year yet. Hereโs a summary:
- I returned full time as a Product Manager at StructionSite (later acquired by DroneDeploy). ๐๐จโ๐ป
- Skied for the first time in over a decade. โท๏ธ
- Three program transfers, eight internships, and seven years later, I graduated from uWaterloo Computer Engineering! ๐
- Solo travelled Colombia ๐จ๐ด and Peru ๐ต๐ช. Learned elementary Spanish, fell in love with Latin America, and made many friends along the way. โ๏ธ
- Moved to New York City and Iโve been loving it.๐ฝ
- Organized a weekly writing meetup in New York called the Olive Tree Writing Club. ๐๏ธ
- 3 years of writing everyday. I stand by this decision as my best one yet. โ๏ธ
Hereโs whatโs next:
- Taking the next step as a writer and build an audience. ๐
- Keep improving as a Product Manager. ๐ช
- Take the Olive Tree Writing Club to the next level. โ๏ธ
- Pay off my student debt. ๐ฐ
- Travel internationally. โ๏ธ
- Update my style and wardrobe. ๐
- Host at least one event every quarter. ๐ฅณ
