Being the Party
Lots of people ask, “Where the parties at?”. More people should ask, “Why can’t I be the party?”
Gathering people together is nerve-racking. You’re putting your reputation on the line. You’re anxious if it will be successful or not.
But gathering people is immensely rewarding. In a way, hosting people is world building, it’s a form of creation. Where you invite friends to a temporary world you’ve built.
During the party, it’s surreal seeing your different friend groups mingle and laugh together. After a successful party or celebration my heart feels full. That feeling is unmatched.
This is why I love gathering people. I think it’s incredibly underrated. And while it does take effort, I never regret hosting people.
