Don’t Settle for the First Option

If I settled for my first internship, I’d be working back in Toronto in a technical writing job at an average company. There’s nothing wrong with that job, and it was an amazing opportunity at the time that I’m grateful for, but my growth trajectory and job satisfaction is so much higher at my current company and role.

Whether it be jobs, cities, or relationships, the first option is rarely the best option.
