Getting Acquired
A few weeks ago, to everyone’s surprise, our CEO announced that we’ve entered an acquisition agreement at our company all hands. Our company, an early stage startup, got acquired by another, albeit later stage startup.
The general sentiment was one of excitement but uncertainty. Excitement because of the potential products we can provide for customers as well as the career growth and resources provided by a larger company. But uncertainty around what’s next:
How will we integrate our product into theirs? What processes and tools will we keep, discard, or adopt? How will we integrate our two teams? How does this change our roadmap? How does this change our strategy?
As old questions get answered, new questions arise.
