Improving Through Osmosis

One of the best ways to get better at something is through osmosis. Say you want to improve on the craft of writing, then read the New Yorker or Sylvia Plath’s poetry collection. Do this everyday for a year and eventually through osmosis you’ll become a better writer.

This can be applied to any skill. Venture Capitalists can read investment memos. Photographers can follow high quality accounts on Instagram. Software Engineers can read open source github repos.

Improving through osmosis combined with a high action bias leads to rapid improvement.
