Inspiration is for Amateurs
Inspiration is for amateurs. The rest of us just show up and get to work. Every great idea I’ve ever had grew out of work itself. - Chuck Close
Something I learned from writing everyday is that if I do the work the ideas will come.
Some days, an idea will hit me like a truck and I’ll drop everything and start writing on a blank note on my iPhone. Inspiration is fleeting and if I don’t act now it will fade.
More often then not, I’m not exactly inspired when I’m writing. Sometimes, I have an exam to study for or I’m feeling exhausted from a long haul trip, but I open my text editor and write anyway.
