Making Friends

Whenever I’m in a new social situation be it the first day of classes, starting a new job, or moving to a new city, I always feel a bit anxious beforehand. This anxiety stems from excitement and uncertainty: Who will I meet? What will I learn? What memories will I make?

During solo travel, I experience this all the time whether that be moving countries, cities, or hostels. And yet, it always works out. I always meet incredible people and make awesome friends.

This is one thing I take away from solo travel. It’s given me internal confidence that in any situation or any place, I can make friends and find my people.
