On Taking Advice

If you survey enough people, all advice will cancel to zero. - Naval Ravikant

As I started to read, and listen to more content. I realized that a lot of advice was contradictory.

One person says to specialize, another person says to be a generalist.

One person says I should work on my weaknesses, another person says I should leverage my strengths.

I think all advice should be taken with a grain of salt, including anything written on this blog.

Here are a few questions I ask myself after receiving advice: Why is this person saying this? Where are they coming from? Is this applicable in my situation? Do they back their advice with experience?
