On the Seventh Day…

1 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. 2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. - Genesis 2:1-2

It is said in the book of Genesis that God spent six days creating the Earth and the Heavens, and on the seventh day, He rested.

I spend most of my waking hours reading or writing. And as much as I enjoy those activities. Especially during this quarantine, sometimes I don’t know when to stop.

It feels weird that I need a break from reading and writing. When I’m working or at school, these are the two activities I turn to in my leisure.

Yet, that’s exactly what I need.

If God rested after working then I think we all need to rest too.
