Open to Change

After defeating Amon in a fight, Korra, the determined and stubborn main character of the “Legend of Korra,” has her bending powers stripped away. Reaching a loss she can’t grapple with, Korra turns to her spiritual side and meets Avatar Aang in spirit form. He gives her one of my favorite lines in the show: “When we reach our lowest point, we become open to the greatest change.”

I was once so driven by ambition and accomplishment that my ego blocked my growth. I was stubborn to evolve and too narrow-minded to new possibilities. Then, I encountered difficult scenarios that challenged my identity and ego. I experienced ego death and gained the ability to embrace change.
