Saying No (Revisited)
We’ve sold out all five Olive Tree Writing Club sessions this year, and momentum is building. With that, plenty of opportunities and ideas are emerging—members have tons of suggestions, and a few friends have approached me about collaborations.
But growing OTWC isn’t a goal for me this year.
I just want to have fun with it—do what I enjoy, without the pressure we put on ourselves last year. That also means saying no to many of these opportunities.
For example, I’m not interested in big production events. I know how much effort and stress they take, and I don’t have the capacity for that.
This year, my priorities are clear. Mastering my new job comes first. Growing Riveting is second. Say no to everything else.
