Second Degree Knowledge

First degree knowledge is what you know. For example, I know about computers, technology, product management, the craft of writing, etc.

Second degree knowledge is what your network knows. I don’t know much about photography and architecture, but I have friends that are knowledgeable in these areas.

Very few people, myself included, use their second degree knowledge properly. Yet, this is a such a powerful resource.

As much as I want to be good at many different things. I can’t do everything, and certainly not at level that some people I know do.
