Urban Gardeners

Ron Finley is from South LA, a neighborhood filled with liquor stores, fast food chains, and vacant lots. Frustrated with the lack of nearby healthy food options and the eyesore of vacant lots, Finley took things into his own hands. He started using these empty pieces of land for gardens and sparked a revolution in the process.

Recently, I’ve developed a new found interest in gardening. And hearing about Ron Finley’s story and the subsequent urban gardening revolution is inspiring me to potentially join a local community garden near me.
