Use Your Nicest Things, Every Day

During university, I bought an expensive pen with the intent of using it for a long time and hopefully my entire life. When the ink runs out, I buy a refill. I’ve been using that same pen almost every week for a few years now.

What I love about high-quality items is that they’re joyful to use and they get better, and more beautiful, with use. Some may see a scratch, crack, or discoloration as damage, but I see it as character and a sign of love.

As the top comment in Rajiv’s video says, Better to be worn from wear, than worn from dust.”
