I first heard of 70-20-10 as a business investment strategy. Focus 70% of resources on what work, 20% on low risk experiments, and 10% on high risk experiments.

I’ve been reactive in balancing leverage vs exploration. I believe both are important and the 70-20-10 model works pretty well in this situation.

• 20% of the time I’ll explore medium risk opportunities.
• 10% of the time I’ll explore high risk opportunities.
