9-9-6
In the West, we have the fourty hour work week. Even then some of us protest that the fourty hour work week is too long.
Yet, there’s a term called 9-9-6. This refers to the working schedule commonly practiced by companies in China. 9am to 9pm, 6 days a week. In other words, 72 hour work weeks. Nearly double the working hours of Western companies.
The term was first coined by Alibaba’s Jack Ma and stated that it was one of the competitive advantages that Chinese companies had over their Western counterparts.
