Against the Minimal Aesthetic
My default style before revamping my wardrobe was minimal.
When I was also first learning to write, my writing style was minimal.
The minimal aesthetic has dominated culture whether it be fashion, writing, or interior design.
It seems like the culture is shifting now.
Gen Z tends to dress more eclectic compared to Millennials.
Writers are also becoming less minimal.
While I admire minimalism, I don’t identify with it anymore.
Minimalism is utilitarian and efficient, but I find it boring and lacking in personality.
