Ask for Directions (Revisited)

If I’m driving from New York to Toronto and get lost along the way, I’m not going to rely on trial and error—taking random roads and hoping for the best. I’ll ask for directions.

Yet, when pursuing a goal, many of us default to trial and error rather than seeking guidance from someone who’s already been there.

There’s no need to reinvent the wheel.

As I build a growth team at my company, I recognize that growth is a well-established function at many tech companies. Instead of figuring everything out on my own, it makes sense to learn from someone who has built a team from scratch.
