Finding Your Voice
A common piece of advice given to new creators is to find your voice. But what does this mean?
Anyone who has created art and shared it with other people understands this struggle. Making and sharing art is a vulnerable experience. Our inner dialogue says we aren’t good enough, that no one cares, that we will be judged by others.
Being authentic in our art, being authentic when building an audience, that’s difficult to do. And that’s what it means to find your voice.
How do you find your voice?
Make things. Make a lot of things. Every piece you’ll learn more about yourself, you’ll learn about what you want to make. and you’ll be more comfortable making and sharing your art.
