I’m Rooting for You
From Anecdote’s pop up at Verci
I first met Neel on a Sunday after writing club last year. He was at the space, preparing for an event at Verci after ours. We chatted for a bit, I learned about what he was working on, and we exchanged contact info.
Today, he was hosting a pop-up café called Anecdote, so I stopped by.
I asked him what the dream was for Anecdote. He told me his goal is to open a café in New York City. He doesn’t have formal experience—he only recently got into it—but he’s been hitting the books, learning as much as he can.
He knows he can do it. And he will.
Hearing that kind of conviction is inspiring. When someone truly believes in their vision and puts in the work to make it happen, that energy is contagious.
I’m rooting for him.
I’m on that journey too, and I know how hard it is. There’s a mutual respect in the struggle—we’re all pushing toward something bigger than ourselves.
I feel lucky to know so many creatives working to bring their dreams to life.
And we support each other because we know it isn’t easy.
It doesn’t matter if you’re building a community, launching a startup, writing a book, or starting a café, I’m rooting for you to succeed.
