Just Ship It

I’ve always been a perfectionist. When I first started writing, I’d refuse to release flawed work, it had to be perfect.

The irony is that it will never be perfect. Perfection is an asymptote, that by definition I’ll never hit. There will always be one idea that can be improved. There will always be a better way of phrasing that paragraph. There will always be something I can change.

Nonetheless, I’m pursuing perfection, to not pursue it would mean I wouldn’t be improving. But I understand that once I hit the threshold of good enough”, at that point, just ship it.
