Knowing Your Schedule

You either control your schedule, or it controls you.

I learned this the hard way after 5 years of my engineering degree.

Before I was reactive in my scheduling. I’d try to remember all the deadlines and plan out my days the evening before, but I would often get overwhelmed.

But this semester is different. I had a bit of a rough start but I’ve pretty much been in control since.

One small change that led to big results is knowing my schedule. In the first week of classes, I spent some time adding all the deadlines and exam dates for all my courses into my calendar. Now I can see what my entire semester looks like, and plan my days and weeks accordingly.

A simple change yes, but an effective one. I’m surprised I just didn’t do this sooner.
