Learning How to Mend

Today, I attended my friend Izzy’s mending workshop.

I had a few holes forming in my fatigue pants and thought it would be fun to learn how to repair them myself.

When I showed Izzy the damage, she got excited and said, There’s so much opportunity here.

I love that mindset. There’s something special about clothing that’s been mended—it shows that a piece was well-loved and cared for. The imperfections add character, making it even more beautiful.

Here’s how my mending turned out! I’m quite happy with the results.

For the first hole, I started with a green stitch so that it’d blend in if it didn’t look good.
