Light at the End of the Tunnel

At the beginning of the year, I wrote a piece reflecting on coming of age in the past decade:

I came of age in the 2010s. I couldn’t ask for better decade to grow up in. Especially as someone working in the tech industry, the 2010s was a decade of continuous growth and optimism.

For me it begged the question, is life really this rosy?

There weren’t any significant world events that had a direct negative impact on me. Perhaps this is why me and my immediate circle are so optimistic.

Clearly, this was written before COVID.

It’s quite ironic that a few weeks after writing that piece, a global pandemic turned the world upside down.

It’s been a rough few months for many, including myself. But this week the Ontario government started rolling out the COVID-19 vaccine. There’s still a long road ahead of us but finally there’s a light at the end of the tunnel.
