Make It Fun
In early 2023, I had an idea for a newsletter where I’d break down successful software products to figure out what made them work. I was working as a product manager at the time, so it felt like a smart way to level up. On paper, it made perfect sense.
But when I actually sat down to write it, I couldn’t bring myself to do it. It had potential. It made logical sense. But my heart wasn’t in it.
In 2024, I decided to double down on a menswear newsletter. It made less financial sense—but I loved it. I loved reading about menswear, talking about it, learning more. I’ve been writing it ever since, and I’m having a blast.
If you’re working on a creative project, the most important thing is to have fun.
Because if it’s not fun—what’s the point?
