Mental Cardio

When I first got into weight training I didn’t put much thought into what I ate. Over time however, I became aware of how diet affects my performance at the gym and the results.

I find the same is true for writing. Writing is like lifting weights in that I become aware of my information diet.

Sometimes there would be a few days on end when I’d come up flat on ideas for my daily blog. Its then that I realize I’ve been consuming mental junk food like watching videos and scrolling on social media. This is an indication that I need to clean up my info diet and consume high quality content, such as books and essays, instead.
