No, Yes-Men

A Yes-Man is someone that is agrees with everything and endorses or supports without criticism every opinion or proposal of a superior.

Growing up I was a yes-man. I wasn’t trying to ruffle any feathers and I didn’t want to bring attention to myself.

Now, I realize that feedback is crucial for improvement.

If I need clarification I’ll ask for it to be repeated. If something doesn’t make sense to me then I’ll ask a question. If I have a critique on an opinion, I’ll say it.

I feel anxious before I do any of this, but ultimately I’m always happy I did.
