On Falling in Love Again and Again

I realized that I fall in love easily: with people, with places, with things.

A big reason why is my curiosity and desire to learn more, and the more I learn. The more I understand, the more I empathize, the more I love.

I’ve also learned to live with an open heart. To allow myself to become attached to things.

Falling in love again and again also means getting heartbroken again and again. But heartbreak is just a testament to my relationship with that person, place, or thing. The more it hurts, the deeper the relationship. And the scar tissue that’s left behind is stronger then the original flesh ever was. They’re proof that I can continue to love, to be heartbroken, to heal, and continue to love.
