1 + 1 = 3 (Revisited)

I first met Yeng in early 2023. I remember the first OTWC event he attended—the session was hosted at an event space in Dumbo—where he told me about the magical realism book he published during the pandemic and the novel he was working on next.

Since then, Yeng has been a regular at OTWC sessions, and he’s also hosted numerous events himself, including open mics, intentional gatherings, and even an OTWC event at his own apartment!

My core belief about collaboration is 1 + 1 = 3—the idea that together, we can create something greater than either of us could alone.
