Reading Bubble

Back in grade school, reading for fun was not cool and it was seen as a nerdy activity. So to fit in, I didn’t read, many of my peers didn’t either. I knew few people that did it for fun.

But In late high school I gave reading a chance and I was hooked. As I started to read more, the people I surrounded myself were readers as well. Now, nearly everyone I hang out with reads for fun.

Sometimes I have this bias that everyone reads. When in reality, I reflect on my high school days and remember how I was the outlier.
