Sabbath Day

Thus the heavens and the earth were completed in all their vast array. By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work. Then God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done. - Genesis 2: 1-3

In the book of Genesis, it’s said that God made the world in six days and rested on the seventh. God made the entire world and even he needed rest!

As a recovering productivity addict, I’ve written before about the importance of rest. I believe there’s lots of wisdom in the idea of a sabbath day: one day a week where I don’t have any obligations and I can partake in activities that revitalize my spirit.
