Final issue of the Whole Earth Catalogue

The Whole Earth Catalogue was a magazine started by American writer and activist, Stewart Brand. The magazine was famously referenced in Steve Jobs’ 2005 Stanford commencement speech. On the last page of the final issue of the WEC, is a photo of an empty country road at dawn with a few words that’s both a farewell message and a call to action: Stay hungry, stay foolish.
