Today it was announced that the influential Japanese composer Ryuichi Sakamoto passed away.
Rest in Peace to a legend.
The world is full of sounds. We don’t normally hear them as “music.” But the sounds are actually very interesting, musically… I have a strong desire to incorporate them into my work, mix them with instruments into one soundscape. A sonic blending that is both chaotic and unified. That’s what I’d like to hear right now. - Ryuichi Sakamoto
