Travel Blogs
As I’m immersing myself in travel content to prepare for my own adventure I’ve been reading many travel blogs like Nomadic Matt. There’s a whole subculture out there on Travel Blogs. It’s a common source of income for digital nomads because you can blog anytime, anywhere. Plus it’s a great way to document your travels.
That last point really appeals to me. For nearly two and a half years I’ve been writing everyday on my blog and occasionally I’ll re-read old blog post. In one of my first posts, I talked about writing as taking a “mental photograph” of my thoughts and ideas during that moment in time. Re-reading old blog posts in a way feels nostalgic.
As I’m about to embark on my first solo travel trip, my friend told me that the first trip is special; I’ll only experience this for the first time once. And blogging about it is a great way for me to document the experience.
