Type 1 and Type 2 Decisions
Type 1 decisions are not reversible, and you have to be very careful making them.
Type 2 decisions are like walking through a door — if you don’t like the decision, you can always go back. - Jeff Bezos
Type 1 decisions take time and thoughtfulness.
Type 2 decisions take speed and decisiveness.
Sometimes, we mistake type 1 decisions for type 2 decisions. We make a decision too fast with too litte information that end up leading to dissatisfaction or detrimental consequences.
Other times, we mistake type 2 decisions for type 1 decisions. Here, we suffer from inaction and indecisiveness wasting precious time and resources.
Identify which type of decision you are making then act accordingly.
